HOW MUCH DOES LITTLE ATHLETICS COST?
2023/2024 Little Athletics Registration will be $50 club fee plus LANSW affiliation = $130. Tots will be
$100 per athlete.  Most athletes buy our club shirt - worn with plain shorts  at our Tuesday afternoon events. No logos/adds over 5cm are allowed on the shorts. Most kids wear black or royal blue shorts or bike shorts because that's what looks best with our shirts! The club shirt is not compulsory on Tuesdays but 90%+ wear it because it looks good and you have to have your club number sewn or pinned to something anyway. The shirt is compulsory at external events like Zone, Regional, State.

DO YOU ACCEPT ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS?
Yes, Active Kids vouchers can be used towards registration.

If you have not already obtained the Active Kids voucher for your child this year and wish to use one of them for registration, you will first need to apply for the voucher, before beginning the registration process.

Once you have a voucher, you simply enter the specific voucher number allocated to the child that you are registering, into the appropriate box within the registration portal, and the registration fee payable will be reduced accordingly.

WHAT TO BRING?
A water bottle with a name clearly marked on it

A jacket or long pants for cooler nights. Athletes can wear a t-shirt or long sleeve top under their Little A's uniform. This allows the child's number to be seen during an event.

DO PARENTS HAVE TO STAY AT THE FIELD?  HOW INVOLVED DO I HAVE TO BE AS A PARENT?
Yes. A parent or designated guardian over the age of 18 must remain at the field in case of injury or cancellation due to wet weather. This is a condition of registering your child. In addition, Little As is 100% volunteer based and the club nights are run by parents. There are many ways to help depending on you schedule. Come early to set up, stay late to pack down, escort the kids between events, grab a rake or measuring tape, help with starting, timekeeping, start marshalling or finish line marking. Don't worry if you don't know how to do the job, we will show you. We are always looking for experienced coaches or masters of their sport to provide skills training at the events!
See more information on our Parents page.

WHAT IS AN AGE MANAGER?
An Age Manager is not a paid coach; they are in charge of guiding the age group safely through the events for the evening. In the past we have relied on Age Managers to also know the events but we are currently discussing other options for the 2023/2024 season. We will let you know how things will run when we are finished planning!

All Woolgoolga Athletics Club committee members, coaches, and participants are volunteers, please be respectful.

WHAT IF WE HAVE TO LEAVE EARLY?
That's OK. Find your child's age group and tell the Age Manager you are taking your child early.

WHAT IF WE ARE AWAY OR CAN'T MAKE A COMPETITION NIGHT?
That's OK. You don't need to tell anyone. See you next week.

WHAT HAPPENS IN WET WEATHER?
We rarely cancel, except in extreme weather. In this case, go to our Facebook page or website news feed where a message will be posted if an event is canceled.

HOW DO WE GET OUR CHILD'S RESULTS?
Little Athletics now uses Results HQ. Some event information is updated live on the night, and the remaining data is generally available within a few days.
